Vintage studio jug by The Friars, Aylesford.
Wonderful small studio pottery milk or cream jug with a speckled brown and wheat-coloured glaze.
Handmade in beige stoneware with a considered form, c1960s or 1970s.
David Leach was briefly employed to set up The Friars pottery in Aylesford in 1955 with the studio managed by Colin Pearson until the early 1960s.
Impressed stamp to the base.
Approximately 11cm tall and 10cm in width to the edge of the handle.
Excellent vintage condition with some light scratches. A matching small sugar / dips bowl is available separately.
