Vintage studio bowl by The Friars, Aylesford.
Small studio pottery sugar or dips bowl with a speckled brown and wheat-coloured glaze and smudged brown markings.
Handmade in beige stoneware with a considered form, c1960s or 1970s.
David Leach was briefly employed to set up The Friars pottery in Aylesford in 1955 with the studio managed by Colin Pearson until the early 1960s.
Impressed stamp to the base.
Approximately 6cm tall and 10cm in diameter across the top.
Excellent vintage condition with some light scratches. A small matching jug is available separately.
