Beautiful large Moroccan vase with a hand-painted dark pink check design filled with yellow flowers.
Hugely characterful handmade vase by Poterie Serghini of Morocco. The vase is signed 'A Serghini' to the base for Ahmed Serghini (1966-2002).
Ahmed Serghini represented the 7th generation of the Serghini family and helped to raise the profile of Moroccan craftmanship worldwide including work with the British Museum.
Approximately 21cm tall and 14.5cm at its widest.
Excellent rustic vintage condition. The vase has various imperfections that reflect its artisan nature with clay splashes and scuffs to the rim, air bubbles and firing marks to the glaze and smudges within the painted design.
