Vintage studio pottery mugs.

A pair of Purbeck Pottery coffee mugs in the Studland design with a speckled grey-green matt glaze.

Small-sized cups with ribbed detail and low looped handles, dating to the late 1960s or 1970s.

Purbeck Pottery was established in 1966 by Robert Jefferson and Eddie Goodall (formerly of Poole Pottery) and used Dorset ball clay mined in the Purbeck Hills near Wareham.

Approximately 9.5cm tall and 7cm in diameter across the top of the mugs.

Three pairs of mugs are available.

Excellent condition. Some little misses in the glaze from the time of production (example in the photos) and slight colour differences to the mugs.

All our pieces have a past and may feature age-related marks which we believe add to their charm. If you have any questions about this item or would like to see further photographs, please do get in touch.
