Two vintage enamel and brass cloisonne-style wall plates each featuring a different mandala design. The two plates are colour coordinated with designs composed of sand, orange, dark red, emerald and black.
Slightly rustic appearance with sections of enamel missing from both plates.
The mandala - a Sanskrit word that means circle - is a geometric configuration of symbols. Mandalas have been used to aid meditation for thousands of years and are believed to have originated in ancient India.
Small hanging hooks to the reverse of each plate.
Both plates are approximately 12cm in diameter.
Very good vintage condition with light scratches to the enamel and missing patches as mentioned (see photographs for examples).
