Large hand-thrown tapering mug with a chunky form and long, arching handle. Rich and glossy dark tenmoku style glaze in black with chocolate-brown patches.
Lovely to use as a rustic vase, small utensil holder or for an extra large coffee.
Impressed to the base with a long-tailed 'B' indicating Old Ballarat pottery of Australia.
Approximately 15cm tall and 14cm in width from the handle to the front of the mug.
Aged vintage condition with some scuffs, scratches and very tiny nibbles.
