Mid century dish by Lotus Pottery.
MCM handmade vintage dish with a dark, moss-green glaze and daisy motif known as 'petal on sage'.
A rare design for Lotus Pottery, the dish is square in shape with raised sides and stands on four small glazed feet, c1970s.
Lotus Pottery was founded in 1957 by Michael and Elizabeth Skipwith at Stoke Gabriel in Devon. The petal on sage design was used across many wares including the distinctive ceramic bulls produced by the studio.
Approximately 4.5cm tall and 15.5cm in length.
Unmarked.
Excellent vintage condition, with very light scratches. The colour of the dish appears slightly darker in the photos due to the shine from the highly glossy glaze.
All our pieces have a past and may feature age-related marks which we believe add to their charm. If you have any questions about this item or would like to see further photographs, please do get in touch.
