Large rustic folk art pitcher from Hungary in terracotta clay and painted with a floral slipware design, c1930s or 1940s.
Hand-formed with a wonderful tall and slender shape and simple handle. Heavily aged appearance and characterful discolouration creating bluish-black patches.
Approximately 22cm tall and 16cm wide from the spout to the handle.
Aged and rustic vintage condition with scratches, scuffs, nibbles and discolouration to the clay. Quite a lightweight piece with a thin and delicate composition.
