Gorgeous early 20th century carved stone inkwell with a hinged lid and circular cavity where ink would have been stored.
Lovely to repurpose as a little jewellery box.
Art deco style, likely dating to the c1920s. Believed to be onyx, but possibly serpentine or marble.
Approximately 5cm square.
Very good vintage condition with light marks and scratches. Sadly now missing the inkwell lining.
