A classic English fish gluggle or glug jug in a rare satin white glaze by Dartmouth Pottery, c1960s.
With a sweeping curled tail and wide open mouth, the jug makes a distinctive gurgling sound when liquid is poured from the fish's mouth.
Marked to the base: Dartmouth Devon England
Approximately 18cm tall and 12cm at its widest point.
Excellent vintage condition with light crazing and a very tiny nibble to the bottom of the fish's mouth. Small clay deposit from the time of manufacture (shown in the photographs).
