Traditional Bulgarian Troyan pottery cooking pot or kitchen storage jar formed in terracotta clay with twin handles and a lid.
Hand-painted 'peacocks eye' design to both the lid and bowl in shades of cornflower blue, sand and black.
Approximately 9cm tall to the top of the lid (6.5cm tall without the lid) and 13cm in width to the edge of the handles.
Very good vintage condition with scuffs, scratches and crazing to the glaze. Not recommended for serving hot or wet food due to the glaze crazing. Slightly different colour blue paint used for the bowl and lid.
