Vintage hand-carved African hippo in dark, almost black, lignum vitae wood. Shaped with a large rounded belly, chunky legs and a long face.
Lovely visible tool marks in the wood.
Handmade in Africa, c1960s / 1970s.
Approximately 8cm tall and 17cm in length.
Very good vintage condition with some light marks to the wood.
