Antique stoneware storage jar.
Mid-sized crock pot with a beige, putty-coloured body, dark brown top and a glossy glaze.
Dating to the Victorian era, these antique jars would have been used to store household ingredients, the top covered with paper or cloth and tied with string.
Today, they have been repurposed as storage solutions for many items in the house such as kitchen utensils, brushes, stationary and cotton wool or as a vase for flowers or herbs.
Approximately 15cm tall and 12.5cm diameter across the bottom. The opening is around 9.5cm diameter.
It's in a lovely clean and bright condition with marks consistent with age and use. Tiny scuff to the rim as shown in the photographs.
All our pieces have a past and may feature age-related marks which we believe add to their charm. If you have any questions about this item or would like to see further photographs, please do get in touch.
