Mid century hand-carved onyx box in pale lemon stone with soft cloud-like markings and delicate veins. Lovely as a jewellery or keepsake box.
Finished with a clear varnish and gold-coloured metal hinge to secure the lid.
The box was likely made in Italy in the 1960s or 1970s.
Approximately 4.5cm tall, 13.5cm wide and 9.5cm deep.
Lovely vintage condition with marks and scratches alongside some very small nibbles to the edges and corners gathered over the years. Rust spots to the metal hinge.
