Beautiful vintage majolica serving plate and matching sauce boat for asparagus.
The curved plate has a design of textured asparagus stems painted in green with pink tips. The sauce boat replicates the design with an asparagus stem handle and stems tied with a pink ribbon and bow. Lovely detail of cut stems to the edge of the jug.
Unmarked set which was likely made in Portugal or France.
The jug is approximately 11cm tall, 16cm wide and 7.5cm deep. The plate is approximately 5cm tall, 20cm wide and 15cm deep.
The jug is in excellent condition without chips, cracks or any crazing. The plate is in very good condition without chips or cracks but does have crazing to the glaze.
