Beautiful vintage folk art jug in white with a hand painted botanical design in cobalt blue framed with blue borders.
The jug was created in the Romanian village of Corund in the heart of Transylvania. The village is renowned for its traditional pottery which is made by families, techniques passed down to each generation, and can be traced back to the 11th century.
Approximately 15.5cm tall and 9.5 in width from the handle to the belly of the jug.
Aged and rustic vintage condition with scuffs and nibbles, mainly to the rim as shown.
