Incredible and quite rare French majolica terrine.
Ceramic pink lidded terrine topped with a characterful salmon on a bed of herbs and lemon slices. The base has woven basket style markings.
Made in Portugal for French brand GEO Paris J'Taime and dating to the 1960s or 1970s.
Super piece for a taking point display!
Marked to the base: Collection Crea Par (created by) Paris France GEO Je T'aime, Made in Portugal.
Approximately 13cm tall (to the top of the salmon). The base of the dish is 15.5cm in length and 11.5cm deep.
Excellent vintage condition with signs of crazing to the glaze, very tiny nibbles and slight patches of discolouration to the bottom edge of the lid. The terrine is not recommended for cooking use due to the age and delicacy of the piece, display purposes only.
