Vintage studio pottery jug.

Handmade stoneware pitcher by Colin Kellam with a speckled oatmeal glaze edged in blue and decorated with feather-like markings.

Lovely visible rings from the potter's wheel and a pinched spout.

Kellam studied sculpture and ceramics before assisting Marianne de Trey at Shinners Bridge Pottery throughout the majority of the 1960s. He launched his own studio in Totnes in 1968 which remains active in sculptural pottery, lamps and plaques.

Impressed to the base with the potter's marks.

Approximately 15cm in length from the edge of the handle to the belly of the jug, 10cm wide and 15cm in height.

Excellent vintage condition with light scratches.

All our pieces have a past and may feature age-related marks which we believe add to their charm. If you have any questions about this item or would like to see further photographs, please do get in touch.
