Small antique stoneware jam or preserve jar with grey colouring, smudged brown top and vertical ribbed banding. A ridge around the rim would have allowed a paper top to be secured with string.
Likely dates to the Victorian or Edwardian eras.
Ideal as a pencil crayon or pen pot, or to store cutlery, candles or kitchen herbs. It also makes a cute little vase.
Approximately 10cm tall and 8cm diameter across the base.
Aged and rustic antique condition with marks, scuffs and small chips. The jar is clean and has been scrubbed with bleach however some old marks remain to the base.
