Tiny hand carved alabaster box in pale, creamy stone with gold-coloured metal edging to the hinged opening.
The polished stone has been finished with a varnish/lacquer creating a subtle shine.
Just large enough to store a few small items of jewellery.
Likely from Italy and dating to the 1970s or 1980s.
Approximately 4cm tall and 4.5cm in diameter.
Very good vintage condition with light scratches and a small (white) scuff to the top of the box.
