Antique stoneware jam or preserve jar with off-white colouring and vertical ribbed banding, c1910.
A ridge around the rim would have allowed a paper top to be secured with string.
Great for storage of cutlery, stationary, candles, kitchen herbs or for use as a vase or planter.
Impressed to the base with the lighthouse symbol and text: WP Hartley Liverpool & London
Approximately 13cm tall and 9.5cm diameter across the base.
Lovely aged antique condition with crazing, hairline cracks, marks and other little imperfections.
