Beautiful mid century hand-carved spherical paperweight in mottled brown stone with twisting grey veins. Flattened base and finished with a light varnish, c1960s.
Lovely for a study or home office or to display amongst books.
Faded foil sticker to the base reads: Genuine Alabaster, Carved in Italy.
Approximately 6cm tall and 7cm in diameter.
Very good vintage condition with light scratches and tiny nibbles.
