A pair of vintage Bulgarian plates in terracotta clay decorated in shades of ochre, brown, black, sand and cornflower blue.
The swirling design is distinctive of traditional Bulgarian Troyan Pottery and is created using a wheel with paint applied by hand as the wheel turns.
For decorative use with hanging holes to the reverse.
Both plates are approximately 18cm in diameter.
Very good vintage condition with light scratches, scuffs and crazing to the glaze.
