Pretty and gently rustic French cake mould in dark blue with a hand painted design of flowers and leaves with decorative borders.
This is a traditional ceramic baking mould for a Kougelhopf/Kouglof cake - a ring pan bread cake made with raisins and almonds and hardened with yeast. Distinctive of the Soufflenheim village in the Alsace region of France.
Ideal for wall display and has a hanging hole.
Approximately 8.5cm tall and 14.5cm in diameter across the base
Lovely rustic vintage condition with some scuffs and light scratches. A little miss in the glaze at the base from the time of production.
